Appreciation at exit
The main return on Aqariya is appreciation — the property growing in value over the holding period. When it sells, you receive your original investment back plus your share of the gain.
The calculation
- 1. Appreciation — sale price − purchase price.
- 2. Minus platform fee — a percentage of the appreciation.
- 3. = Net appreciation
- 4. × your share % — your share of the appreciation.
- 5. + your original investment — returned in full.
- 6. = your total exit payout
Worked example
You invest $1,000 in a property bought for $500,000 that sells for $650,000:
- Appreciation = $650,000 − $500,000 = $150,000
- Platform fee (15%) = $22,500 → net appreciation $127,500
- Your share = 0.2% → $127,500 × 0.2% = $255
- Plus your original $1,000 → total exit payout $1,255
